Anna & Josh in the beginning did not have a clear idea of where to celebrate their wedding, but when we went together to visit Villa Regina Teodolinda everything immediately became extremely clear. After a few hours, in front of an ice cream cup, without any doubt, they looked in each others eyes and said: That is our place! We found it. We found the perfect place to host our destination wedding in Lake Como! This is the magic that happens when a couple finds “the place”.

They chose their intimate friends and family to join them and witness this beautiful day. The celebration started with a white pizza party, where all the guests were dressed in white, flowers were also all white, and everyone one had fun and relaxed, enjoying the lake.

Ceremony on the Lakeshore

The next day, under the warmest sun, Anna walked down the aisle with her father, on the notes of the live intense female voice of Eastside band singing “Kissing you”.  That was an extremely emotional and sweet moment for everybody. The ceremony was also hosted by the parents and closest friends who expressed their wishes and blessing to the newlyweds. After the ceremony their friends had the first little surprise for them and gave to all the guests white heart shaped balloon to throw in the sky, and soap bubbles.

As we said, sun was very warm, but nobody could predict what happened: the groom took off his shoes and, joined by his male friends and familiars, decided to jump in the lake. The bride and the other ladies also decided to join, but only after having sipping some prosecco and most importantly after wearing their bikinis. Instant cameras were given to the guests so that they could picture the moment from their point of view.

When Anna came out, with her stunning white bathing suit, to have her refreshment, she was surprised by nothing less than a flashmob: all the guest, spread around the garden of the villa, and coordinated to dance the same choreography, to the song “Happy”.We bet that’s exactly how everyone felt. The dance was filmed by a drone and it was a memorable scene.

While most of the guests where refreshing in the water, together with fairytale inflatables of every shape, the voice and sound of Wolfgang band was all over. Ladies and gentleman put their dresses back and sat down, in the lake view area, under the trees, with a pastel colored set up. Dinner started with some beautiful and touching speeches, love signs were spread all over the table, and most important love was in the air. As you can imagine they could not sit too long, and so, right after the marvelous berries tart cake cut, and typical bouquet tossing, everybody went inside the villa to start the party.

The first dance was just spectacular: Anna & Josh had prepared a dance to the song “Sugar” by Maroon 5 and when the confetti were popped in the air all the guests joined the couple, including kids and especially Karlotta, their 1 year old daughter, that decided to join with her teddy bear. The party went on and on, with live music by Eastside band and the most danceable hits, selected by the bride and groom.

Farewell Brunch in Como Lake

The next day it was hard to say goodbye during the farewell brunch, it was a wet brunch, wet by the tears of joy and wet because of the heavy rain, that no one cared about.

When the party is over, life starts again, and what we wish to them is to be KISSING, HAPPY and SUGAR sweet, like they were on that day, for the rest of their lives.

We can say that this Destination wedding in Lake Como was a big success!
